When Briggs is hungry, he is hungry.

While we were cooking supper, Briggs grabbed the bundle of bananas and drug them across the floor signing food.

Our monkey got food.

January 4, 2016 - Dogs

If you sent a Christmas card to us with a dog on it, you won Briggs's heart. Saying 'dug' and pointing to the picture is a constant night time activity.  

And if you let him watch Lassie, you earned a lifetime friendship award from Briggs.

No we aren't getting a dog.

January 3, 2016 - Upcycling

When we bought the house in 2012, we purchased a lot of the furniture too.  One of the pieces was a wooden Bassett Furniture dresser that had His and Her mirrors.  Last year, we purchased a bedroom set with our wedding money, so this left us with a massive unused dresser.  Today, I began the tedious process of transforming it from a dresser to a TV stand.

I have never painted furniture before, but my SIL reassured me that it was easy.  If I wasn't so stubborn I would have taken her advice and used chalk paint; however, this was a little pricy (Annie Sloan), the color (Micropolis) was not available, and calcium carbonate is not available at Walgreens, Target, or Walmart in the TC area. Regular paint and elbow grease it is!

We shall see how this goes...

If we would allow him, Briggs would slide all day long.  One of many faces he makes when he reaches the top.

January 1, 2016 - WeMo

The Wemo is a fabulous device if you are lazy and don't want to physically reach down and unplug a device.  Instead you can turn it on and off with your phone and even set a timer.  Hence why I bought three.  The down side is that Briggs has found the button and loves to turn it on and off.  If I knew his love of watching the tree turn on and off I would have just invested more time into teaching him old-school plug in things.

Sledding on the Farm

Briggs first time on a sled at the Farm! Next time Uncle Steve may have to get out the dog sled for him ;)
