January 3, 2016 - Upcycling

When we bought the house in 2012, we purchased a lot of the furniture too.  One of the pieces was a wooden Bassett Furniture dresser that had His and Her mirrors.  Last year, we purchased a bedroom set with our wedding money, so this left us with a massive unused dresser.  Today, I began the tedious process of transforming it from a dresser to a TV stand.
I have never painted furniture before, but my SIL reassured me that it was easy.  If I wasn't so stubborn I would have taken her advice and used chalk paint; however, this was a little pricy (Annie Sloan), the color (Micropolis) was not available, and calcium carbonate is not available at Walgreens, Target, or Walmart in the TC area. Regular paint and elbow grease it is!
We shall see how this goes...
